I've got an alloy mini-spare from a 94-7 Crown Victoria cop car. It's 16" x 4". Originally painted black but I removed the black paint with acetone and it polished up nicely. About 95% of Crown Vics, and all Grand Marquis I saw, use a steel version of the wheel which appears identical at a quick glance.

I found a 17" temporary aluminum spare wheel and tire kit on ebay, it included a jack and handle along with the wheel and tire. It was new from a dealership. I think these were dealer installed options on new Mustangs. The overall diameter is within 1/4" of the road wheel diameter I have on the car. Think I paid around $200 shipped.

For a 17" spare when running stock 20" tires, a 285/70/17 is the perfect size. Stock 20 = 33" tall new 285/70/17 = 32.8" tall new which is the perfect size to put on when you have stock 20's. Stock Temp spare = 32.4" tall.
