The LS was collected from the lithium salt plant in Xinyu, Jiangxi Province (China). These raw materials were dried in an electric oven at the temperature of 105 °C. Afterwards, they were crushed and ground to fine powder. The obtained fine powder was sieved through a 75 μm nylon mesh sieve before being used for LWA production.
Depending on the used production technology, the steel slag can be divided into a basic oxygen steel slag, an electric arc furnace slag and a ladle furnace slag (De Brito and Saika, 2013).
